Passive fire protection is essential to ensuring life safety, structural integrity, and code compliance in large and complex buildings. This one-day course is tailored for inspectors, plans reviewers, architects, engineers, and site supervisors working under Part 3 of the Ontario Building Code.
Participants will gain a solid understanding of fire separations, fire-resistance ratings, listed firestop systems, and the design and inspection of noncombustible construction. The 2024 Ontario Building Code has introduced changes to firestopping, listed system requirements, and membrane penetrations—all of which will be covered in depth.
